Computers.
Chances are, you're looking at one right now. It's all very well to look at them as ones and zeros, mice and keyboards, C++ and HTML, but... to put it into words, some information was meant to be archived and never looked at again. Things that you and me would find slightly boring are actually surprising, compared to what we think. Let's take an example. Two operating systems govern the market today; Windows, and Apple. Which came first? You'd think that Windows, the more popular and the more associated with the word 'computer', right?
Wrong.
In fact, the first Windows OS, generally referenced as a flop, came a good six years after the (quite successful) Apple II. Apple also made the change from the boring old idea of
to the (at the time) more exciting format of
Granted, it looks simplistic, but at the time, this was like a smartphone compared to a cellphone. They even went on to introduce the mouse, among other important things.
Anyways, I'll hopefully be making a presentation on how all of this stuff moved on to become the thing that are now massively part of our lives soon. Take this as a 'sample', if you will.
